Adult Acne Treatment
(Adult Acne Treatment) Most individuals suffer from acne at some point during adolescence,
but we are led to believe that it will clear up as we reach
our twenties.
Unfortunately, for many sufferers this is not the case. Many people
find their condition worsening as they enter their twenties and
thirties. Others, who have had always had clear skin begin to develop
blemishes and pimples for the first time as adults. Luckily acne
can be treated at all ages.
For many adults, increased stress in the home or at the office
may lead to acne breakouts, however for most adults, the underlying
factors responsible for adult acne are the same
as teenage
acne.
Hormones, over secretion of the sebaceous glands, clogged pores
and bacteria are all leading causes of adult acne. Many women also
experience flare-ups associated with the menstrual cycle (see
premenstrual acne), and on occasion, pregnancy.
Adult
acne most commonly consists of blackheads, whiteheads & occasional
breakouts of mild blemishes, while a small number develop inflamed
acne papules or pustules. Severe cases require proper medical attention.
For the majority of cases of mild breakouts, it can be controlled
with good sensible skin care treatment. The people affected are
considered
to have oily & acne prone skin. An all-natural solution such
as Derma Cleanse or Derma
Pure* is recommended.
Prevention is the key to adult acne treatment. Approximately
2-3 weeks before appearing on the skins surface blemishes begin
to form. This is why it's important that the treatment selected
by an individual be taken for at least one month to effect pimples
that may already be in the process of developing. Once an effective
treatment has been found it is important to stick with it. Even
after the blemishes are gone, continuing treatment
is recommended to avoid new outbreaks. Be sure to start a
treatment regimen as soon as the first signs appear. The sooner
acne is addressed the less likely you are to experience
severe outbreaks and permanent damage to the skin.
