Teen Acne
At
least 90% of teenage youth have acne, so if you’re a suffering
teen you are certainly not being singled out. Acne affects teens
and adults of every size and shape in every country with every
ethnic background. Not surprisingly these days, acne is one of
a teenagers biggest worries. Acne not only affects an adolescent’s
facial appearance, but also can play a big role in self-esteem,
effecting social contact, after school activities and the desire
to obtain part time employment.
It does seem unfair that just when you’re beginning to grow
up and define who you are that you can be faced with the socially
debilitating disease of teen acne. But now as more and more is
being learned about acne, there are many new treatments being developed.
There
are all-natural highly effective treatments such as Derma
Cleanse and Derma
Pure, and for extremely severe cases where no treatments
are working, stronger medications such as Accutane have
shown proven results, but are not without their side affects.
During puberty
boys and girls produce ‘male’ hormones
called androgens. Boys tend to produce more, therefore, having
more severe breakouts. Deep within each pore oil glands produce
sebum, which travels to the surface of the skin to form a natural
protector from the world. When androgens begin to develop, the
oil glands begin producing too much sebum, which can clump together
with dead skin cells clogging the pores. Essentially this traps
oil and bacteria beneath the skin. The body’s natural defence
goes to work with the end result of acne.
The best way to avoid
teenage acne is by prevention. Be sure to wash your face with
a mild cleanser twice a day. Your skin needs sebum to
stay healthy and over washing can have a negative affect causing
your skin to overproduce more oil. One of the worst things you
can do to acne is pick or squeeze at it. This can not only spread
acne creating further breakouts, but also force bacteria deeper
into the skin causing greater inflammation. Picking and squeezing
acne can also cause permanent scarring.
The
majority of acne cases can be treated and cured with all
natural products like Derma
Cleanse and Derma
Pure; both highly recommended by the Approved Cures Staff.
For very extreme cases where no other treatment has been successful Accutane will
get rid of acne. There is a wide range of natural, medicinal,
and prescription treatments
available and its just a matter of finding the one that will
work for you. If treated in its early stages teenage
acne will seldom become severe, and the chances of clearing it
up fast are greater.
The most important thing to remember is that it is not your fault.
Breakouts do not occur due to eating too much junk food or wearing
too much makeup, but are a natural part of being a teenager. The
worst thing you can do is seclude your self by avoiding after school
activities and social gatherings by letting acne run your life.
